The engine on this mod sounds horrible. You can’t even hear anything.
    no thanks

So put in the sounds of your favorite engine. Just have to rename the .ogg files to whatever he’s used in the sound file because he didn’t use the standard names. This mod isn’t locked so you can edit anything you want. You could also copy his 100,000HP specs to any other engine in the list and use their sounds. Pretty simple stuff.

For the record, the sounds work correctly (although not what I’d have chosen for a mod of this nature – I replaced the sounds with Bu5ted’s W900 full cam sounds – all credit to Bu5ted). If you can’t hear anything, it’s likely because you’re using an automatic tranny and starting in 17th gear – there’s no sound files for below 550rpm (700rpm in this mod). Horse power means nothing in this game, you can put in 0 or 3,000,000 and it’ll still operate at whatever torque settings you’ve applied. Check out the tachometer – it’s bouncing around 700rpm until the speed reaches around 200mph in 17th gear. For whatever reason with high torque, the physics cause the truck to lug in higher gears instead of downshifting to appropriate gear ratios. This is fine with normal torque, but high torque engines don’t work correctly. So in essence, with 100,000 torque, the first 11 gears are worthless (the first 16 are worthless without a load as it starts in 17th gear). With a 130,000lb load, it’ll start lugging along in 12th or so on up ramps. Every other tranny in his mod are basically 1 speeds, starting in the highest gear – and the sound works correctly by the RPM as it was designed. He could have achieved the exact same functions of his high geared tranny with only 4 or 5 gears. It’s designed to be a fun change of pace mod – not realistic and not designed to be realistic. Personally, I prefer to use 30,000 torque, no traffic and no laws. That seems to be the sweet spot where lugging is reduced acceptably for me and I can still achieve the speeds I want, lugging is still not eliminated. And I do my trannys differently (3.25 differential with 0.30 high gear ratio capable of around 240mph. That’s the only “challenging” way for me to play this game, and I had to mod the physics to get it to turn around city corners at acceptable speeds (30-35mph). After all, it’s just a game. There’s no wrong way to play it.

Scs, please add an age filter on your games buyers.

Agreed. When people get too old and lose their sense of humor, they should be banned from games. It’s more of a game than a simulator by far. Requires modification to the physics just to turn a normal corner at 30mph, that doesn’t simulate real life in any way.
